How to Resize a Hundred Photos at Once
I would like to re-size many images at one time so I can sent them by email. How can I do that in VISTA?
I personally use Windows XP the most and use a WindowsXP Powertoy called Image Resizer. However after a little digging I realized that Microsoft has never released a set of PowerToys for Windows VISTA. I will keep my commentary regarding that to myself.
However after a little more digging I found that Microsoft did release the source code for the XP PowerTool for resizing images. Based on that act of kindness, several coders were able to get together, keep the name of Image Resizer and offer it as an OpenSource download compatible with Windows VISTA. Feel free to try it and let me know what you think. Word of warning though, make sure you copy a few of your images to a separate test directory before you try it. In fact I would recommend you do as I do and create a backup of your images ‘every’ time that you use a product like this.
Here are a couple of more “worth trying” recommendations for you. Again same word of caution as above
- VSO Image Resizer
- PowerToy Clone for VISTA
